The 'U' side table is inspired by the simple need for convenience and elegance in everyday life. The designers envisioned a scenario where one is sitting on a balcony, desiring a cup of coffee or a book, and the convenience of having a side table nearby. This vision led to the creation of 'U', a side table that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

What sets 'U' apart from other side tables is its unique U-shaped structure. This design feature not only ensures the overall stability of the table but also offers a visual feast to the eyes. The 'U' side table is made using metal and natural cherry wood. The U-shaped structures are connected by screws hidden in covert positions, giving the table a neat look. The 'U' side table was completed on October 10, 2020, in Zhengzhou, China. The designers faced several challenges during the design process, including the minimal use of screws, balancing the side table, structuring the two U-shaped round tubes, and determining the proportional relationship. Despite these challenges, the designers were able to create a side table that finds the perfect balance between art and utility.
